As we rolled into Eyford Station we saw a gigantic column of smoke

"Whose house is it?" "Dr. Becher's."

"Tell me," broke in the engineer, "is Dr. Becher a German, very thin, with a long, sharp nose?"

"告訴我，"工程師插了一句，"比徹醫(yī)生是個(gè)德國(guó)人，非常瘦削，有個(gè)又長(zhǎng)又尖的鼻子，對(duì)不對(duì)？"

The station-master laughed heartily.

站長(zhǎng)放聲大笑起來(lái)。

"No, sir, Dr. Becher is an Englishman, and there isn't a man in the parish who has a better-lined waistcoat.

The station-master had not finished his speech before we were all hastening in the direction of the fire.
