This night, when I lie down to sleep,

I give the Lord my soul to keep;

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

MORNING

Now I wake and see the light;

God has kept me through the night:

Make me good, O Lord, I pray;

Keep and guard me through this day.
