127　certain和some

1　certain 表示“某個”時，指已知但未作說明的人或物，可用于修飾人名。修飾單數(shù)名詞時，常用“a certain+單數(shù)名詞”；修飾復數(shù)名詞時，certain 前不用冠詞。

There are certain things I just can't tell you. 有些事情我是不能告訴你的。

A certain Mr. Brown called you just now. 有一位布朗先生剛才打電話給你。

Certain plants will not grow here. 有些植物在這里不能生長。

2　some 表示“有個，某個”時，指未知、不確指或說話人不愿意具體說明的人或物，修飾單數(shù)名詞。

Some woman came up to me and asked me the way to the police station. 有個女的走過來問我去警察局的路。

He has gone to some place in the south. 他到南方某地去了。

There must be some reason for her behaviour. 她的行為一定有某種理由的。
