You have been asked to recommend a particular brand of bread for use in elementary schools in a small city. Which of the four brands of bread described in the chart would you recommend? Support your choice with information from the chart below.

Which brand of bread is the most suitable for elementary school children? Before we make the choice, there are three things we need to take into account: taste, nutrition, and cost.

哪種面包品牌最適合小學(xué)生？在我們做出選擇之前，有三件事需要考慮：味道、營養(yǎng)和成本。

Among the three, I believe nutrition is the most important. Children in elementary schools are at an age when their bodies are growing rapidly. Malnutrition will certainly hinder their bodies from growing, and poor health will often result in poor learning. Taste is also important because tasty bread can help stimulate children’s appetite. Children will not like to eat poor-tasting bread regardless of its level of nutrition. A good appetite guarantees sufficient nutrition.

在這三者中，我認(rèn)為營養(yǎng)是最重要的。小學(xué)生正處于身體快速生長的年齡階段。營養(yǎng)不良肯定會阻礙他們的身體發(fā)育，而健康狀況不佳往往會導(dǎo)致學(xué)習(xí)成績不佳。味道也很重要，因?yàn)槊牢兜拿姘梢源碳ず⒆拥氖秤?。無論面包的營養(yǎng)水平如何，孩子們都不會喜歡吃味道不好的面包。良好的食欲是充足營養(yǎng)的保證。

Therefore, I will certainly recommend Brand A, because both its nutrition and taste are very good.

因此，我一定會推薦品牌A，因?yàn)樗臓I養(yǎng)和味道都非常好。

Neither Brand C nor Brand D is a good choice because the former has a very good nutritional rating but not a good taste; while the latter has an excellent taste but only a fair nutritional rating.

品牌C和品牌D都不是好選擇，因?yàn)榍罢唠m然營養(yǎng)評分很高但味道不好；而后者雖然味道很好但營養(yǎng)評分只算一般。

Being less nutritional and tasteful, Brand B is not as good a choice as Brand A, despite their similar costs. So, that leaves only Brand A. It is true that Brand A has the highest price, but I believe that most of the schools would not really mind paying a little bit more money for school children’s better health.
