Mills: You're not buying all this, are you?

Somerset: Doesn't seem like our guy, does it?

Mills: You tell me.

Somerset: Our killer seems to have more purpose.

Mills: You ever take a bullet?

Somerset: Never in my thirty-four years, knock wood. I've only taken my gun out three times with the intention of using it. Neverpulled the trigger. Not once. You?

Mills: Yeah, but. No, I never, never took, never took a bullet. but I pulled my gun once, shot it once.

Somerset: Really?

Mills: It was my first one of these. We were the Secondary unit. I was pretty shaky going in. I was a rookie then. Anyway we bust open the door looking for this junkie. And the fucker just opened fire on us. One cop got hit in the arm. Christ, what was his name? Spun him like a top. You know, I mean, more like slow motion. I remember riding in that ambulance. Well, he died right there. Right there. Christ, what was his fucking name?

1. Glimmer Twins

The Glimmer Twins is a nickname given to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones. 這里是警官拿他們兩個(gè)開(kāi)玩笑。

2. fall short

Baptist Churches 浸信會(huì)

浸信會(huì)（Baptist Churches，又稱(chēng)浸禮會(huì)），基督新教主要宗派之一。十七世紀(jì)上半葉產(chǎn)生于英國(guó)以及在荷蘭的英國(guó)流亡者中。當(dāng)時(shí)屬清教徒中的獨(dú)立派。反對(duì)給兒童行洗禮，主張教徒成年后方可受洗，且受洗者須全身浸入水中，稱(chēng)為“浸禮”，故名。并主張獨(dú)立自主，反對(duì)英國(guó)國(guó)教和政府對(duì)地方教會(huì)的干涉。各地方的浸信會(huì)并不受一個(gè)中央的總會(huì)管理，而都是各自獨(dú)立、自主和自治；浸信會(huì)傳入美國(guó)后，自1836年起派傳教士來(lái)中國(guó)。1845年，美國(guó)的浸信會(huì)分裂成美南浸信會(huì)和美北浸禮會(huì)。

信仰特色

浸信會(huì)信仰的特色可以用七個(gè)英語(yǔ)短句表達(dá)，而其每一句開(kāi)頭的字母拼起來(lái)剛好是BAPTIST。

Biblical authority 認(rèn)識(shí)和肯定《圣經(jīng)》的權(quán)威 浸信會(huì)以《圣經(jīng)》作為信仰和實(shí)踐的最高權(quán)威（若干宗派在《圣經(jīng)》之上還加上教會(huì)或是信條）。一般說(shuō)來(lái)浸信會(huì)中對(duì)于特定神學(xué)立場(chǎng)的執(zhí)著是比較淡的。浸信會(huì)中可能有加爾文主義者（以司布真為例），也有亞米念主義者；可能有時(shí)代主義的支持者，也有恩約神學(xué)的擁護(hù)者。從歷史的觀(guān)點(diǎn)來(lái)看，浸會(huì)中的神學(xué)是豐富而多樣的。
