Victor：what do you do?就是我們?cè)趩?wèn)別人職業(yè)的時(shí)候常說(shuō)的一句話(huà)。

Nancy：now listen to my pronunciation. What daya what daya what daya do?

Victor：What daya do?

Nancy：good! This is the way we ask someone about their job.

“what daya do?”， it’s short for “what do you do for a living，”

but we don’t say “for a living” anymore.

Victor：great! 我喜歡現(xiàn)在的英語(yǔ)，越說(shuō)越“短”啦!

Nancy，what daya do? 對(duì)了，你掙多少錢(qián)呢?

Nancy：It’s always okay to ask someone about their job， it shows you’re interested in them. But you never， ever ask someone how much money they make.
