A: We have here a copy of the inspection certificateissue by the Commodity Inspection Bureau and aset of photos. The inspection certificate states thatthe bikes were found rusty when they wereunpacked and the photos taken on the spot back up the findings.
這是商檢局開(kāi)具的檢驗(yàn)證明書(shū)副本和一組照片。檢驗(yàn)證明書(shū)上說(shuō)，開(kāi)箱時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)自行車已經(jīng)生銹，這些當(dāng)場(chǎng)拍的照片能證明這點(diǎn)。
B: Are all our bikes like this?

A: Not all, there are 5 of them that have rust stains.
不是全部，五輛有銹斑。
B: This is very unfortunate. Our manufacturer has always attached great importance to thequality of their products. But maybe the rust stains are due to dampness at sea. If that's thecase, the liablity should rest with the insurance people.
真是太不幸了。我們的廠家對(duì)他們的產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量向來(lái)很重視，也可能這些銹斑是海上受潮造成的。如果那樣的話，就應(yīng)該由保險(xiǎn)公司負(fù)責(zé)。
A: But our experts are of the opinion that the rust stain are not due to dampness but topoor workmanship. Please look at the picture. They surely prove that the derusting of the bikesbefore plating was not thoroughly done.
但是我們的專家認(rèn)為，銹斑并不是由于受潮所致，而是由于手工藝粗糙造成的。請(qǐng)看照片，可以肯定證明，電鍍之前，自行車的除銹工作搞得不徹底。
B: Well, it seems that manufacturers have not lived up to their standard in this case.
嗯，看來(lái)這次廠家沒(méi)有達(dá)到他們的操作標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
A: On the strength of this evidence, the responsibility rest with the producer and not with theinsurance people. It's obvious that the manufacturers didn't strictly observe the proceedingrequirements as stipulated in our contract.
證據(jù)表明，責(zé)任是生產(chǎn)商方面的，不在保險(xiǎn)公司方面。很顯然，廠家沒(méi)有嚴(yán)格遵照我們合同中規(guī)定的加工要求做。
