萬(wàn)一；如果；防備

in case也是表示“以防；萬(wàn)一”，但是in case后面接條件狀語(yǔ)從句，而in case of后面接名詞或代詞等。

You'd better take an umbrella in case of rain.

=You'd better take an umbrella in case it rains.

你最好帶把雨傘，以防下雨。
