你最喜歡哪一位老師呢？

她是個(gè)什么樣的人？

你知道該如何來(lái)形容嗎？

來(lái)聽(tīng)今天的講解：

A: Who was the best teacher that you ever had?

你曾經(jīng)經(jīng)歷的老師,哪一個(gè)最好?

B: That would have to be Miss Baymler, my fourth grade teacher.

Miss.Baymler，我四年級(jí)的老師。

A: What was she like?

她什么樣子呢?

B: She was patient, kind, fun, smart, caring, and yet strict, too. I really learned a lot from her.

她非常的耐心、友善、有意思、聰明、會(huì)關(guān)心別人但是也非常嚴(yán)格。我從她身上學(xué)到了很多。

A: What kind of things did you learn?

那你學(xué)到什么了呢？

B: She taught us that you can do anything that you want to do.

她教會(huì)我們只要你想就會(huì)實(shí)現(xiàn)任何的事情。

A: Anything? Do you really believe that we can do anything ?

任何事情？你真的相信我們能做任何的事情嗎？

B: If you really want to do something and you work hard at it, I believe you can do it.

如果你想實(shí)現(xiàn)某件事情的話你一定要非常努力，我相信你能做到。

A: You said she was strict. Did she have a lot of rules?

你說(shuō)她很?chē)?yán)厲。她是不是有很多的規(guī)矩？

B: She had some rules that helped us to feel comfortable. For example, the students had to treat each other with respect, or they would be disciplined.

她是有很多規(guī)矩讓我們感覺(jué)很舒服。比如她教會(huì)我們要相互尊重，否則會(huì)受到處罰。

A: I see. She sounds like she really cared about her students.

我看出來(lái)她對(duì)學(xué)生都非常的關(guān)心。

B：Yes. She treated us all fairly, she don’t have any teacher’s pets.

是的，她對(duì)每一個(gè)學(xué)生都非常的公平，她沒(méi)有“老師的寵物”。

A: Really? Doesn’t every teacher have a teacher’s pet?

真的？不是每個(gè)老師都有“老師的寵物”嗎？

B: Well. To be honest, I usually sucked up to teachers because I wanted them to give me good grades. However, Miss Baymler didn’t treat me any differently. She really didn’t have any teacher’s pets.

說(shuō)實(shí)話，我經(jīng)常拍老師馬屁，因?yàn)槲矣X(jué)得老師會(huì)給我一個(gè)好的分?jǐn)?shù)。然而，她并沒(méi)有對(duì)我有所不同。

A: Do you know what she is doing now?

你知道她現(xiàn)在在做什么嗎？

B: As a matter of fact, I do. After she taught our class, she got married and moved to another city. Then, she started writing children’s book.

事實(shí)上我是知道的。她教完我們后結(jié)婚了，搬到到了另外一座城市，開(kāi)始創(chuàng)作兒童讀物。

A: Have you ever read one of the books?

你讀過(guò)那些書(shū)嗎？

B: Of course! Both children and adults enjoy her books.

當(dāng)然！大人和孩子都喜歡她的書(shū)。

A: Why don’t you recommend one to me?

那為什么不推薦一本給我呢？

B: OK! I’ll bring one to you next time.

好的，下次我給你帶一本！
